Our law firm provides comprehsensive advice, strategy, and representation to homeowners who find themselves faced with difficult decisions concerning their home in today's real estate market. Many homeowners owe more than their property is worth, and need prompt, competent legal counsel as to the scope of their options. There are numerous options available and numerous important factors to take into consideration.
We offer an array of distressed property services including consultation, document review, and short sale negotiation. Even if your property is not "distressed" but you are concerned about your future with it, you will need good legal advice as to what options will work best for you. A homeowner needs to understand the impacts of a short sale, foreclosure, and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure on the homeowner's future responsibility on the debt (the "deficiency"), tax obligations, and credit rating.
If you elect to pursue a short sale (being a sale of your property for less than you owe on it), we can guide you all the way through that process and obtain for you the best possible result available.

We primarily defend clients who are being sued. We are authorized as errors and omissions (E&O) defense counsel with many insurance carriers and will submit defense claims for our clients. We also represent plaintiffs in a variety of real estate and commercial matters. The firm maintains a vigorous motions practice directed at obtaining prompt and cost-effective resolution of claims. Many of our business clients have adopted a strong anti-settlement posture in an effort to discourage nuisance claims. We support this approach and prepare each case for trial.
When our clients direct, we will negotiate settlement terms that minimize litigation expenses and liability exposure. Finally, when appropriate, the firm represents clients in appeals.
