David C. Daniel graduated cum laude from the Seattle University School of Law in 2003. Mr. Daniel focuses his practice on residential real estate, and assists real estate brokers on a daily basis with transactions, negotiations, problem solving, and contract drafting. He maintains an active litigation and dispute resolution practice in Washington and Oregon, primarily as defense counsel for broker clients. Mr. Daniel is certified by the state of Washington as an instructor in real estate law, and he frequently teaches clock-hour courses to real estate brokers.
Mr. Daniel regularly conducts distressed property consultations for homeowners who find that they owe more on their house than it is worth in today's real estate market. There are a number of options and considerations that are discussed, such as foreclosure, short-sale, and deed in lieu of foreclosure, as well as the consequences that can result in terms of taxes, credit-rating impact, and further liability on a deficiency.
In his free time Dave enjoys spending time outdoors, golf, traveling, and live music. Mr. Daniel joined the Washington State Bar Association and the Demco Law Firm in 2003, and the Oregon State Bar in 2007.
