Melanie A. Leary graduated cum laude from the College of Charleston, with a B.A. in political science. She obtained her law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law, where she was a publications editor for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. Ms. Leary joined the firm in 1993 and has concentrated her practice on real estate litigation and real property law.
Ms. Leary is a member of the Washington State and King County bar associations and Washington Women Real Estate Lawyers. She is also a member of Washington Women Lawyers and its King County chapter. Ms. Leary was a KCWWL board member from 1998-2002, served as KCWWL’s president in 2002, and continues to serve as a member of KCWWL’s judicial evaluation committee.
When she isn’t in the office, Ms. Leary is happiest spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and opera. |
